Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 June 2026
1. Agreement
By using Sift (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What the Service does
Sift accepts a bank statement file (PDF or Word document) that you upload, analyses it using AI to identify recurring charges and subscriptions, and presents a summary of the findings to you. The Service is provided for general informational and organisational purposes only.
3. No financial advice
Sift does not provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. The analysis and any “observations” or “tips” presented are general, automatically generated observations based on the contents of your statement and may contain errors or omissions. You should independently verify any information before making financial decisions, and consult a licensed financial adviser for personalised advice.
4. Accuracy of results
Results are generated by an AI model and are provided on a best-effort basis. While we aim for high accuracy, the Service may misidentify, omit, or mislabel transactions. You are responsible for reviewing the results against your own records.
5. Payment and pricing
Uploading a statement and viewing a summary preview is free, subject to a daily usage limit. Unlocking the full report — every subscription named, ranked by cost, with status and savings observations — is a one-time payment of AUD $9.99, processed securely via Stripe. This is not a subscription — no recurring charges will be made, and there is nothing to cancel. Each completed payment entitles you to one unlocked report, generated from the preview you unlocked it from.
6. Refund policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with your results, email support@siftmoney.com within 30 days of your purchase and we will issue a refund.
7. Your responsibilities
- You confirm that any statement you upload is your own, or that you have the right to upload it.
- You will not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service (including attempting to bypass payment).
- You are responsible for the security of the device and files you use to access the Service.
8. Data handling
Uploaded statements are processed in real time and are not stored by us. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how your information is handled.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sift and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on the analysis results. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the analysis giving rise to the claim.
10. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update these Terms or modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
